Endless possibilities...

Are you faced with the problem of too many possibilities in your emotional life? How can this pose a problem, I hear you ask?  Whilst the presence of this card is usually a welcome sight as it signifies potential and promise, particularly in the area of relationships and matters of the heart, it also brings with it confusion in which we must gather more information on the presented possibilities in order to make an informed and wise choice. For what is on offer to us exactly?

Make it real...

Very much a card of 'castles in the air', the Seven of Cups is when we immerse into happy fantasies and daydreams of what's possible, but where a degree of patience, hard work and careful choices are needed to turn them into reality.

Know you want it...

After a time of reflection and healing that took place in the Six of Cups, anything is now possible for Psyche. Here we see her kneeling and praying to Aphrodite for help in reuniting her back with Eros, for her love and commitment to him has not wavered. The Goddess of Love promises Psyche a reunion with Eros, however she presents her with a set of challenging tasks and demands that Psyche carry them out before delivering her promise. Will Psyche rise to the challenge? Yes!, for she's now reached the point of realising what it was all in aid of, and that she is willing to put in the hard effort required to have the deep and 'real' relationship she wants. Swift movement...

At last, a time of positive change, where our speedy actions, propelling us closer towards accomplishing our goal has arrived. The shore can now be seen on the horizon and there's a period of 'smooth sailing' after overcoming the delay and struggle of the seven.

We are now able to move forward with our plans easily and confidently, often at a rapid rate as the tension that was built up is released and turned into a new creative energy, driving us evermore to reach our destination. It's when after some frustrating difficulty, we find ourselves "on the home stretch". Yes, it's full steam ahead and with clarity now. All the skills, tools and resources required are there from all four elements; Air (Swords), Water (Cups), Earth (Pentacles) and Fire (Wands).

Notice how it's almost impossible not to be happy and feeling positive when the sun is shining? And how blessed have we been lately as it generously bestows great bursts of vitality day after day as we draw closer to the end of Autumn?

And that is the real essence of The Sun in the Tarot. Just like the real thing, the presence of The Sun brings abundance, optimism, joyful energy and wonder.

It's when we become playful, childlike. It's when we get back in touch with our inner child or perhaps you are having a child or will be soon. It often also indicates that YOU are shining very brightly! But success like that usually takes hard work!

Yes, generally everything's going really well when you draw this card, for the strong rays of the sun are so powerful, they outshine even the darkest of shadows. It's your time to bask in your glory!

Eternal love...a blessed love life

One of, if not the happiest card in the entire Tarot deck. The Ten of Cups is the 'happily ever after' card.

When it appears, you know you have reached or will soon reach that point of attaining ultimate emotional fulfillment and everlasting love.

This eternal love, being the tenth and final card of the suit of cups which tells the story of Eros and Psyche - the epitome of relationship - does not come without first enduring the challenging, yet necessary (for our spiritual growth) experiences, which are represented in the cards leading up to it. Not every couple can achieve this wonderful state of bliss. And if they're able to achieve it, they can't always necessarily sustain it.
